clamato

By the chef of Septime next door, Clamato is a trendy small-plates restaurant focused on raw fish, ceviche, and shellfish.

Not a huge fan of raw fish, I did find a nice mesclun salad and a great lobster dish with fresh peas served in a cast-iron casserole.

There is a small but interesting selection of wine by the glass.

Desserts were excellent: a maple syrup tart and a strawberry "financier."

Service was friendly, but we did disappear from the radar for a long stretch at one point.

They don't take reservations, so line up outside at 6:55pm for a table. They will seat incomplete parties, so you can send a scout.

Grade: B+
